Volunteers are always welcome! We would love for you to come and help us. Volunteers help us in every aspect of our department. From office work to notetaking to research assistants. Types of Volunteer Jobs Available:
Takes comprehensive lecture notes for hearing impaired, physical impaired, or learning disabled students.
Oversees administration of exams for students with varying disabilities.
Reads textbooks and library research materials on tape for visually impaired and learning disabled students. Can be done in the privacy of your own home, with flexible hours.
Assists in the use of library databases and retrieving books, journals, and articles for visually impaired and physically impaired students.
Writes down information dictated by a visually impaired, physically impaired, or learning disabled student.
Provides assistance in navigating the FAU campus for visually impaired students.
Provides one-to-one and small group tutorial assistance in various subjects to students with varying disabilities.
